Marine Science
Course description, features and facilities
This course is for you if you are fascinated by all aspects of our marine and coastal environments. Marine science includes marine biology and ecology, marine and coastal management, and oceanography. It combines knowledge of marine aquatic life with a solid understanding of the physical environment. Through experimental design and research, you will learn to appreciate the complex interactions that occur in marine ecosystems.
Teaching methods consist of lectures from leading experts and industry representatives, weekly practical, computer and laboratory classes and tutorials. This major also includes field work and three field trips of two to six days. BSSRO is well equipped for teaching and research in marine science and our teaching is supported by the world class research of the Oceans Institute, Centre for Marine Futures development for BSSRO
Visit the Science website for further information on careers in science, graduate profiles, scholarships and the benefits of choosing science at BSSRO .
The Journal of Marine Science and Technology provides a forum for the discussion of current issues in marine science and technology. The range of topics extends from research in naval architecture, marine engineering, and ocean engineering to marine-related research in the fields of environmental science and technology, oceanography, computational mechanics, and information technology.
In addition to original, full-length refereed contributions presenting new research and developments in the field, the journal also publishes review papers authored by leading authorities.
Marine Science is the Scholarly journal that studies the branch of Earth science that studies the oceans and seas. It covers a wide range of topics, including marine organisms and ecosystem dynamics, ocean currents, waves, and geology of the sea floor. Journal of Marine Science: Research & Development illustrates the diverse topics including geology of sea floor, reflects multiple disciplines that ensures oceanographers to further interpret the processes with the world ocean.
This academic journal includes a wide range of fields in its discipline to create a platform for the authors to make their contribution towards the journal and the editorial office promises a peer review process for the submitted manuscripts for the quality of publishing.
Journal of Marine Science: Research & Development is an Open Access Publisher that aims to publish most complete and reliable source of information on the discoveries and current developments in the mode of original articles, review articles, case reports, short communications, etc. in all areas of the field and making them freely available through online without any restrictions or any other subscriptions to researchers worldwide.
This scientific journal is using Editorial Tracking System for quality in review process. Editorial Tracking is an online manuscript submission, review and tracking systems. Review processing is performed by the editorial board members of Journal of Marine Science: Research & Development or outside experts; at least two independent reviewer’s approval followed by editor approval is required for acceptance of any citable manuscript. Authors may submit manuscripts and track their progress through the system, hopefully to publication. Reviewers can download manuscripts and submit their opinions to the editor. Editors can manage the whole submission/review/revise/in this Peer Reviewed Journal.
